This lovely building opposite the park houses a welcoming looking bar/restaurant area, with a small lounge bar space dominated by a log fire for Winter, and the dining area high-ceilinged, timbered and tall-windowed. It's had a history of decent and not-so-decent restaurants over the years but is noe run by the next generation (Jacques) Reymond family. Flavours are those of modern France with forays into Spain, hence gitan, French for gypsy. The menu works for sharing, or flying solo, with a bistro structure, and appropriately welcomes you for a drink as well as a feed. Review pending ...
