REVIEW:
Buon Ricordo has been one of the leading Italian restaurants in Sydney for two decades and doesn't compromise its Italian-ness for Australian modern. As a matter of fact you could be in Italy once you close the door on the world outside. The menu draw on Armando Percuocco's Neapolitan roots, refined over the years to give some signature dishes enhanced by seasonal specials using fine local produce. The service is friendly and slick, the wine list excellent, Armando Percuocco too charming for words ...

Buon Ricordo is widely acknowledged by critics and diners as one of Australia's finest Italian restaurants. From his location in the inner Sydney suburb of Paddington, owner/chef Armando Percuoco has been satisfying local, interstate, and overseas customers with his food and hospitality since 1987.

Armando Percuoco's menu shows his Neopolatian roots, as well as influences from the many regional cuisines of Italy. Dishes might include such seasonal specialties as crispy fried Harbour prawns served in the shell; or fresh figs wrapped in proscuitto, served in a Gorgonzola cream sauce.

The house signature dish is Fettucine al tartufovo - fettucine served in a cream sauce with a lightly fried, truffle-infused egg. At the table the dish is topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese and cracked black pepper. The egg is then gently broken up into the pasta; resulting in a dish the The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide calls,

"undoubtedly Sydney's best pasta."

Buon Ricordo's achievements have been recognized by every major Australian restaurant guide. These include:

The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 'Best Italian Restaurant' annually since 1996

Australian Gourmet Traveller - Rated as one of the top fine dining restaurants in Sydney in the 2003 Restaurant Guide Australia

Tucker Seabrookes Australia's Wine List Of The Year Awards - Top rating (3 wine glasses) every year since 1995

Mietta's Australian Restaurant Guide 2002 'food rated excellent; service and surroundings rated exceptional. Highly Recommended'

www.eatanddrink.com.au - 'This is the best Italian restaurant in Sydney (if not Australia)'..'
