Now over ten years old, F.O.O.D (Food of Orange District) was created to promote the extraordinary produce that comes from this area. Over those years the produce has expanded even more with wine in particular having a boom in plantings and production on site. This is a great chance to try out the local restaurants (and pubs) as well as sample produce directly from the farm.
Orange is well known for its four distinctive seasons and abundance of fresh produce
Orange District invites you to join them in celebrating the popularity of their local produce at the 2006 F.O.O.D (Food of Orange District) Week.
Celebrating its 15th year, and with more than 15 good reasons for you to be in Orange from Friday March 24 to Monday April 3, there is something for all palates.
From Mar 24 - April 3, F.O.O.D. Week showcases the producers, products, chefs, venues and entrepreneurial enterprises that give the region its justifiably strong reputation for fine food and wine.
Celebrated local chefs Michael Manners, Tony Worland and Simonn Hawke will join numerous other chefs and foodies who have made a name of the region with their delicious produce and stunning presentation.
The group supports local produce and restaurants and each year co-ordinates the popular F.O.O.D Week. We invite you to learn more about the foods of Orange and hope to see you during F.O.O.D Week in April 2006.
