Since 1988 David Traeger has been producer stylish central Victorian wines from local vineyards with the newly released leading light, the very old vine Baptista Shiraz.
About David Traeger Wines At the end of November 2002 David Traeger Wines, of the Nagambie Lakes region of Victoria, became an important part of Dromana Estate Limited.
David Traeger Wines was established by David in 1986 in the Goulburn Valley region of Victoria. David Traeger wines are sold throughout the Australian eastern states markets and a growing export presence is being established in the UK, US, Singapore, Germany and Japan.
The product range has deliberately been kept limited. It includes a Cabernet blend (including Merlot and Cabernet Franc), a Shiraz and a much applauded Verdelho (a white variety showing strong consumer interest).
The winemaking aim is to produce elegant and distinctive wines made with traditional methods but with the benefit of the latest technology. The styles are approachable upon release but reward patient cellaring.
David Traeger's vineyards are located at Hughes Creek south of Nagambie, and at Graytown where an ancient vineyard (planted 1892) of Shiraz and Grenache has being brought back into viable production.
Cellar Door Sales are located in an 1870ýs wine cellar in Nagambie Township.
