Tasting Note:
Very stylish package on this new label for Barossa winemakers the Kalleske brothers - a sturdy bottle for a sturdy wine, loaded with dark cherry and wild berry fruit, liquorice, chocolate, nutmeg and cinnamon aromas. It just seems to explode with more fruit and spice at each sniffing, and pleads to be taste. The palate is rich and probably needs a little time to evolve but a sharp decanting certainly helps open it up. Then it shows rich, velvetty texture over some firm structure that brings the package together. Loads of flavour but almost an elegant structure and great value for a very good Barossa shiraz.
