2006 Reilly's RCV
Wine

Country of origin: Argentina
Area/Appellation: Adelaide Hills
Variety/Style: Shiraz
Cellaring: Now - 2014
Supplier Agent: Reilly's Wines
Availability: Cellar door only
Price Range: $45.00

Tasting Note:
The prestige red from the Reilly's range - a shiraz from the Stolen Block in Watervale - comes under the CRV label, only produced when the vintage producs exceptional grapes. And this certainly shows intense fruit flavours of stewed cherries and plums, with rich dark chocolate and lots of warmed spices. The oak is a question as it is very evident - but of such quality that it hardly seems a detriment. It's certainly a charmer now, and certainly the next few years; and only further time will be the tell on the oak.
