2008 Tyrrell's Vat 47 Hunter Chardonnay

Country of origin: Argentina
Area/Appellation: Adelaide Hills
Variety/Style: Chardonnay
Cellaring: Now - 2016
Supplier Agent: Tyrrell's Wines
Availability: Limited
Price Range: $65.00

Tasting Note:
How do they do this? And consistently?
Hunter chardonnay should never be this good! I would pick this wine from elsewhere for its refined white peach and lemon fruit, while the oak handling is exemplary, framing and lifting the fruit rather than becoming a major component of the finished wine. Burgundian in style and Australian in price, this represents value drinking in this style, and it has years ahead.
