Tasting Note:
The centuries-old estate is owned by the hilltop Benedictine Abbey that dominates the Kremstal and has improved dramatically under a new manager over the last decade. The single vineyard Gottschelle is their top gruner. Waxy white flowers, honey, white chocolate, white pepper, herbs and salted caramel showed, with an inherent richness around their mineral core. For sheer class and breeding perhaps the value wine of the Austrian Masterclass tasting. * * * * *
