2015 Bremerton - Malbec
Wine

Country of origin: Australia
Area/Appellation: Langhorne Creek
Variety/Style: Malbec
Cellaring: Now - 2010
Supplier Agent: Bremerton Wines
Availability: Readily
Price Range: $22.00

Tasting Note:
Wolf Blass' earliest blends - those that rocketed him onto the Australian wine stage - often used Langhorne Creek material, and malbec was often part of that component.
Here it plays a solo performance, and it's a masterly one, with ripe dark fruits, violets and star anise and a background of black pepper and avoids the green notes often found. The palate is fleshy but balanced by acidity and soft tannins ... a lovely drink, and great with red meat dishes.
