2004 Michel Torino Don David - Torrontes

Country of origin: Argentina
Area/Appellation: Salta
Variety/Style: Torrontes
Cellaring: Drink now
Supplier Agent: Departure Lounge Wines
Availability: Readily
Price Range: $38.00

Tasting Note:
Delicate muscat and gewurztraminer spice / lychee / rose petal aromas highlight this indigenous Argentinian variety. The information indicates oak ageing but, if so, I hazard a guess that it's older oak as there is little impact on the nose or palate. The palate does have a rounded texture and finish that belies the perfume. An interesting wine that handles seafood and some spice well.

Food Match: Swordfish & green olive tapenade
