Tasting Note:
A few weeks in Piemonte will show how this variety, almost extinct just a few years back, has become the white of the moment, surpassing Gavi's cortese as the most widely produced dry white. And it's easy to see it's attraction with its perfume of waxy white flowers, citrus and Golden delicious apple, and a fleshy palate balanced by fine, but fairly soft, acidity. A lovely drink with fish and chips.
